KTMK GLOVESβ„’

Professional glove break-in service tailored to your feel. Baseball or softball gloves broken in by hand with expert shaping. Fast turnaround nationwide.

🧰 Our Process

  • πŸ”¨ Machine + Hand Shaping β€” we use a pneumatic air-driven machine ("The Thumper") along with mallet work to open up all hinge points and form the pocket.
  • 🧴 Multiple Conditioning & Shaping Sessions β€” repeated by hand and machine to reach the ideal softness and structure.
  • 🎯 ~75% Game-Ready β€” your glove arrives well broken-in but still needs final molding by you for a custom fit. Play catch and use it to finish molding to your hand.

Broken In the Right Way β€” Not the Fast Way

A proper glove break-in isn’t about rushing leather β€” it’s about shaping a pocket that works for your hand and your position.

At KTMK, break-ins are done by a shop that handles hundreds of real gloves every year. We know how different leathers respond, where pockets should form, and how to keep structure without killing longevity.

No steam-blasting. No shortcuts. Just controlled, game-ready break-ins that help your glove perform now and last longer.

500+ gloves serviced annually nationwide β€’ Hand-shaped pockets β€’ Game-ready feel β€’ PNW-based shop

✨ Pro Tip: Add a tin of our shop-made glove conditioner. Proper conditioning is essential for long-term glove health.

🧷 Optional Add-On: KTMK Glove Wrap & Accessories

Always store your glove with a ball in the pocket β€” flat gloves are rough on leather. Our KTMK Glove Wrap is made in-house from strong elastic, machine-sewn, and stamped with our logo on premium Horween leather (the same leather we use for our wallets). Add one at checkout to help preserve your new pocket shape.

πŸ“ Special Requests

Have something specific in mind for your break-in? Tell us at checkout β€” we'll tailor the process to your position and preferences.

⏱️ Typical Turnaround: 3–5 business days once received in our shop (plus shipping time).

FAQs

Will this over-soften my glove?
No. We target hinges and pocket while preserving structure, so your glove stays responsive and holds shape.
Is this for new or used gloves?
Both. It's great for brand-new gloves and for freshly relaced gloves that need a head-start.
Do you adjust for position?
Yes β€” infield, outfield, catcher, first base, or fastpitch preferences. Leave notes at checkout.
