Will my glove be fully game-ready out of the box?
Your glove will arrive approximately 70–75% broken in. Some players can game it immediately, while others will want additional reps depending on hand strength, position, and personal preference.
Final molding by the player is intentional. We establish the shape, pocket, hinges, and closure—but your glove should ultimately finish forming around your hand, not ours.

💧 Water-Assisted Break-In — When Appropriate
For most all-leather gloves, we use a brief dip in room-temperature water to help the leather relax and respond to shaping.
Despite the common belief that a glove should never get wet, properly controlled use of room-temperature water does not harm quality glove leather when the glove is handled and dried correctly.
But not every glove gets the same treatment.
Before using water, we check the glove and laces for dye bleed or other potential issues. If the lace shows signs of bleeding, we perform a dry break-in instead.
Don't want water used on your glove? No problem. Just let us know in the notes at checkout and we'll perform a dry break-in.
No boiling water. No steam blasting. No excessive heat.
🔨 Machine + Hand Shaping
We use our pneumatic break-in machine, The Thumper, along with hand and mallet work to establish the hinge points, closure, pocket, and overall shape of the glove.
🎯 Position-Specific Pocket & Shape
A glove isn't just made softer—it needs to be shaped for how it's going to be used. We work the pocket, closure, and overall shape with the player's position and intended use in mind.
⚾🥎 Soft Where It Should Be. Structured Where It Matters.
Not every part of a properly broken-in glove should feel the same.
The heel and hinge points need flexibility so the glove opens and closes naturally, while the pocket and fingers retain enough structure to hold their shape.
A good break-in creates movement where the glove needs it without making the entire glove soft.
🧴 Final Shaping & Conditioning
After the glove has dried, we perform another round of hand and mallet work to fine-tune the pocket and shape. The glove is then conditioned before heading home.

Your glove arrives shaped, moving well, and ready for reps while still retaining the structure needed for long-term performance.
From there, catch, drills, and normal use finish the job, allowing the glove to mold specifically to your hand and playing style.

We accept gloves from players worldwide. Ship your glove to our Aberdeen, Washington shop — inbound shipping is at your expense. We'll complete the break-in and ship it back via DHL Express or FedEx. Return shipping and any applicable duties and taxes are calculated and collected when your order is placed. Note: free return shipping applies to US orders only.

Always store your glove with a ball in the pocket — flat gloves are rough on leather. Our KTMK Glove Wrap is made in-house from strong elastic, machine-sewn, and stamped with our logo on premium Horween leather. Add one at checkout to help preserve your new pocket shape.

Will this over-soften my glove?
No. We target hinges and pocket while preserving structure, so your glove stays responsive and holds shape.
Is this for new or used gloves?
Both. It's great for brand-new gloves and for freshly relaced gloves that need a head-start.

Yes — infield, outfield, catcher, first base, or fastpitch preferences. Leave notes at checkout.
