Sizing Guide:
Most standard fielding gloves will require approximately 4 feet of binding leather.
Full leather sides typically run 6–8 feet in length to cut from .
If you are unsure how much you need, use a soft measuring tape and measure the full perimeter of the area being rebound while allowing extra length for overlap and waste.
No soft tape measure? Use a string to follow the perimeter, then measure the string with a standard tape measure.
Why KTMK Started Offering Binding Leather
After spending years rebuilding gloves, I struggled to find glove-ready binding leather that matched the feel, workability, and thickness I wanted for professional rebuild work.
Most available options either required buying full leather sides, additional skiving work, or simply didn't feel right for glove bindings.
Over time, I started sourcing and preparing my own leather for KTMK rebuilds and restorations. After countless hours testing different options, this became the setup I trusted in my own workshop.
KTMK was built on the idea of helping ballplayers and respecting the craft. Instead of keeping good materials and sourcing locked away, I wanted to make quality glove-ready binding leather more accessible to other glove smiths, rebuilders, and DIY glove repair guys working to keep gloves on the field.
These are the same workshop-prepared leather strips used in my shop. KTMK rebuilds and services hundreds of gloves nationwide each year.
