For parents who just want to get it right — built from real glove-shop experience and fastpitch insight from a softball dad. Build a glove that fits your player. You don't buy shoes to grow into — you buy shoes that fit. Same idea here.
Not every glove brand plays true to size.
Some run small. Some run big.
👉 KTMK gloves play a little bigger
So if your player is between sizes, you usually don't need to size up
👉 11.25" – 11.75" (baseball)
👉 11.50” – 12.00” (softball)
✔ Better control
✔ Faster transfers
👉 12.25" – 12.75" (baseball)
👉 12.25” – 13.5" (softball)
✔ More reach
✔ Deeper pocket
👉 11.5" – 12" (baseball)
👉 11.75” – 12.25” (softball)
✔ More control
✔ Usually closed web
👉 12" – 13" (baseball)
👉 12.5" – 13" (softball)
👉 33" – 34" (both)
A lot of players use gloves that are too big.
Bigger don’t = better.
👉 Bigger gloves can:
• slow down hands
• reduce control
• make routine plays harder
Most players don't carry 2-3 gloves… they have one gamer.
👉 A 12" - 12.25" glove is one of the best all-around options for fastpitch
• Big enough for outfield
• Small enough for infield
• Great for utility players
And since KTMK gloves play a little bigger…
👉 You usually don't need to jump to 12.5" or 13"
This part gets overlooked — but it matters.
👉 Open web = deeper pocket
👉 Closed web = smaller pocket
Easy way to choose:
Outfield → Open web
Pitcher → Closed web
Infield → Personal preference (most go open)
Infield = go a little smaller for control
Outfield = go a little bigger for range
Softball = don't oversize, choose the right web
👉 When in doubt, don't size up too much
